Melbourne!! and Tasmania!!

So I have been officially unemployed for three months!! Loving the freedom!! I have been in australia for ten weeks - Melbourne now for a month, previously I had been in Tasmania for a month, and started off my travels in Melbourne

Melbourne is great, I have been wandering around a bit, have seen the shops and the street art, Fitzroy and the CBD. Brunswick Street and Smith Street are great streets for food, drink and amazing shops :-) Melbourne Museum is full of interesting objects and there are so many pretty parks and open spaces here!

Tasmania was amazing! I loved it despite it being freezing cold winter when I was there (temperatures of -7 degrees one morning, and pretty cold the other days too!). The farm experience was hard work but fun. Loved the animals and the countryside, the chocolate factory and trying to spot platypus in the rivers!! wallabies and wombats in the wild, the Spirit of Tasmania ferry. Lack of good public transport in Tasmania made it hard to see some parts but my cute rented car made such a difference and i loved driving round zipping up and down country lanes with music blaring and me singing (with the locals tutting at me as I flew past!!)

Travels and new beginnings

I'm going to Australia in nine days time, I can't wait!!!!!!! I will be going for eight months, on a Working Holiday Visa. Yes, I will work as well as travel and have fun!
I'm resurrecting my blog so I can hopefully keep track of places I've visited, things I have experienced and interesting events/observations/people I meet. Exciting times!!!!

Saturday night in

it's saturday night and i've spent all evening relaxing & watching tv with my parents. i do need to chill out :-)
tomorrow i'm going for a walk up Moel Famau with my friends, that will be nice :-)
